Pipeline #1003: A Friendlier Batman vs. Superman

In light of this year’s “Batman vs. Superman” movie fracas, I thought it an appropriate time to go back to the comics to find a better version of what the movie was.

To that end, I reread the Jeph Loeb/Ed McGuinness Superman/Batman story, “Public Enemies.”  It’s a great DC Universe story, featuring lots of DC heroes and villains.  McGuinness gets a chance to shine. And Loeb does an excellent job in setting up the differences in viewpoints between the two title characters with dueling narration.  It’s a great six issue story, easy to read, fun to look at, and well thought out.
