In 2021, after 30 years of reruns, a production company in Belgium debuted an all-new Smurfs television series. By the end of the year, Nickelodeon had picked it up for the United States.
Now, in 2022, I’m going to review every episode.
My name is Augie De Blieck Jr. I’m a child of the 80s and an original Smurfs kid. I write all about European comics on PipelineComics.com, including the original Smurfs comic books. This site is a spin-off dedicated to the new television series.
This was originally meant to be a relatively large article on the main website, but as I continued to write, I realized I had a lot more to say. Rather than fill up the main page, I created this new site.
Episode numbers are based on the ones I see on Hulu, where I record the episodes. They seem to match up with the Nickelodeon app’s episode numbers. Some other sources have different numbers, but I’m ignoring them. I had to pick one system, and that’s the one I picked.
I tried to review everything in order, but I’m missing a couple random episodes due to an unfortunate mistake in my recording schedule. I’ll get to those episodes eventually, one way or another, but I’ll keep pushing forward in the meantime.
