Parc Spirou Opens This Weekend, But Is It Worth Going?
The latest French theme park, Parc Spirou, opens this weekend. I didn’t get to go to the preview days, but I’ve seen enough to draw conclusions.

A mad scientist captures Fantasio and brainwashes him in an effort to — well, that would be a spoiler. This is Franquin in his prime Spirou style.
Trent v1: “The Dead Man”
“Trent” is a Canadian “Ranger Rick”: A safe and boring police procedural in the extreme north. It just doesn’t excite me.
Maybe Asterix Should Just Surrender to Caesar
A radical thought: The Village would be better off if it surrendered to Rome like just about every other Gallic village did before them, some the hard way.
Asterix v19: “Asterix and the Soothsayer”
A Soothsayer comes to town and places everyone under his thrall, except Asterix, who has to save the village from itself.
“Karma City” v1 – v6 by Pierre-Yves Gabrion
In Karma City, you need to be good for the general civilization, or they won’t let you in. If you act selfishly, you’ll be caught. This is a great police procedural sci-fi series.
“Asterix: The Mansions of the Gods” Movie Review
The CGI animated movie based on the 17th volume in the Asterix series looks great and provides a lot of great laughs. Forget the live action movies; all Asterix movies need to be animated this way.
