Type 1 Diabetes and Exercise: The On-Going Saga
Trying to get into “shape” and eat better and exercise more is a never-ending struggle for your average diabetic.
It involves a very annoying circle of eating less and exercise more, but making up for all that in the insulin count.
One day, out of frustration, I made a comic out of the never-ending struggle.
This is not half bad drawing, I see a lot worse in published small press here in France and belgium. How many pages did you manage of this ?
I have no idea how you would possibly avoid sugar, must be a living hell to be diabetic in north America. I spent less than a year in Toronto in 2009 and I gained about 3-4 kilos doing nothing different than my european routine, just by the sheer amount of extra salt and sugar in everything.
Oh, this was just a one-off thing. There are no more pages. I think I’ve done or two other things over the years. I know I did something, also, when I first learned about OuBaPo and wanted to challenge myself. As for the diabetes – I don’t avoid sugar. I just try to limit it. And then I give myself lots of insulin! =)
