Separated at Birth 1

Separated at Birth: The Witch, The Duck, and Lou Carnesecca

The mind works in mysterious ways sometimes, sensing patterns and recognizing images in unexpected places.

Today, I bring to you three “Separated At Births” from the comic book world that I doubt you may have ever noticed, particularly the last one.

Let’s get to it:

The Funny and Lovable Witch

Separated At Birth The Enchantress and Melusine
On the left is the classic “Suicide Squad” comic book version of The Enchantress, with her green robe and pointy hat, black tights and long shiny hair.

On the right is Melusine (created in 1995), a Franco-Belgian character with her green robe and pointy hate, black tights and long shiny hair.

I’d like to see a Melusine movie before another “Suicide Squad” movie, thanks…

Curb Your Duck Artist

Separated At Birth Don Rosa and Larry David

On the left, is “Curb Your Enthusiasm” creator and “Seinfeld” co-creator Larry David.

On the right is legendary Duck artist, Don Rosa.

It’s uncanny, isn’t it?

Gaston La Gaffe, College Basketball Coach?

Separated At Birth Andre Franquin and St. Johns University basketball coach Lou Carnesecca

On the left is Andre Franquin, one of Belgium’s finest cartoonists ever.  He created Marsupilami and Gaston LaGaffe, amongst his other achievements.

On the right is legendary college basketball coach, Lou Carnesecca.  The famed St. John’s University coach in the 80s and 90s was known best for the colorful sweaters he’d wear courtside.  It’s unknown if he has any cartooning skills.
